Tools and bundles

The base package holds the tool box and four tools. Everything else is sold separately at two dollars each. Every add-on is its own Maya module — one folder to unzip, and the tool box finds it next time Maya starts.

The base package

The tool box itself: docking, layouts, themes and settings, with these tools in it. Everything else on this page needs it. See what the tool box does

ShelfImports your Maya shelves; drag to arrange; per-button styling.

Add-ons

Two dollars each. Add them whenever.

A fresh take on the Outliner, drawn in your theme with Maya's own icons. Select by type, middle-drag to reparent, sets, references, and as many outliners as you like.

FBX in and out: readable options with the exact command they run, every take onto one rig, clips combined into one file, and a plain-words look inside any of them.

How do I install it?

Unzip it into your Maya modules folder and restart Maya. Nothing to edit, no paths to fix. Same again for each add-on. The install page has the steps in full, and the two mistakes people usually make.

Which Maya versions and platforms?

2024 to 2027 on Windows, from one codebase and tested against all four. Other Maya versions are not claimed. macOS and Linux are untested rather than unsupported: nothing in the code is Windows-only and it may well run there as it is, but we will not claim it until it has been through the tests. That is coming, and we will say so on our social accounts.

Does it touch my scenes?

No script nodes, anywhere, and the tool box itself stores nothing in your scene. Tools that build scene content — Mosaic, Shot Sculpt — do tag the nodes they create so they can find them again.

Can I share my setup?

Yes. Layouts, themes and shelves all export as files, and the whole setup zips into one bundle a colleague can import.

Do I need all of it?

No. Start with the base package and add whatever you actually reach for. Nothing here depends on anything except the base package.

Refunds?

If a tool is not what you needed, write to support@twodollartools.com within 14 days and you get your money back. No form and no reason needed. A refund ends your license to the tool, so delete your copy of it.
