Support

Write to support@twodollartools.com. We read everything that arrives. Bugs get fixed and go out as a free update to anyone who owns the tool.

Check the version first

Maya 2024 to 2027 on Windows are tested. Other versions may work and are not tested, so start there if something is behaving strangely.

macOS and Linux are untested rather than unsupported. It may well run there as it is, and if you try it we would like to hear how it went. Proper support is coming, and we will say so on our social accounts.

Read the docs

Every tool has a page covering what it does and the parts that are not obvious. Most questions are answered there.

Refunds

If a tool is not what you needed, ask within 14 days and you get your money back. No argument, no form. A refund ends your license to it, so delete your copy.

Report a bug

Tell us what broke.

A bug we can reproduce is usually a bug we can fix the same week. A bug we cannot reproduce turns into three emails asking you questions, so the details below are worth the two minutes.

  • Versions are on the tool box tab and in Help > About.
  • Copy whatever the Script Editor printed, even if it looks unrelated.
  • Try it once in a new scene. Whether it happens there too tells us a lot.
  • A short screen recording beats any description of a UI problem.

Paste this into your mail and fill it in:

Ask for a feature

Most of what is here started as something somebody needed. Tell us the problem rather than the solution — what you are trying to do and where Maya gets in the way — and it may turn into a tool or an option.

Trouble installing

Unzip into your Maya modules folder and restart Maya. The install page walks through it and covers what usually goes wrong. If a tool does not appear, check Dev > Tool Import Errors in the tool box — it usually says exactly what went wrong. Send us what it says.
